flat-share-bedroom-package-in-rattan-and-ash
Flat Share Bedroom Package in Rattan and Ash

Everything a flat share needs, in one delivery, sized for one bedroom in a shared flat, where the room has to be a bedroom, a study and a living room because the living room is somebody else's. Every piece is under 800mm wide and the whole package is planned to sit in the floor area rather than to fill it.

A package is cheaper than the pieces bought separately and, more usefully, it arrives in one delivery on one day. Furnishing a flat one item at a time from four different shops means four deliveries, four assembly sessions and four sets of packaging to get rid of, which in a flat with no garage is its own problem. Everything in a package is in the same material and the same finish batch, and it is all sized to work together in the floor area stated rather than simply to be small individually.

Specification

Dimensions: every piece under 800mm wide, full schedule below

Floor footprint: about 1.4 square metres of floor taken by the whole package

Material: a solid ash frame with hand woven rattan panels, which is the lightest way to make a cabinet that is not just a box

Finish: one finish batch across every piece in the package

Capacity: sized for one bedroom in a shared flat, where the room has to be a bedroom, a study and a living room because the living room is somebody else's

Assembly: flat packed, about 3 hours in total for the whole package

Getting it in: Flat packed in 7 cartons, largest 760mm by 1200mm by 320mm.
