The measurement that matters in a hallway is depth, and almost everything sold for a hall is 100mm too deep to walk past comfortably.

Everything we sell is under 800mm wide. That is not a style, it is the constraint the whole range is designed around, because it is the measurement that decides whether a piece of furniture works in a small flat. Eight hundred millimetres is roughly the width of a standard internal door, the width of the gap most people have between a sofa and a wall, and the point past which a piece stops reading as part of the room and starts reading as an obstacle. Designing to it is harder than designing without it and it is the only interesting thing about furniture for small spaces.

Specification

Dimensions: 800mm wide by 250mm deep by 780mm high

Floor footprint: 0.20 square metres

Material: 18 layer birch plywood with the edge left exposed and lacquered, so the layers read as a stripe

Finish: hardwax oiled or sprayed, handles in your chosen finish

Capacity: 20kg on the top

Assembly: flat packed, about 40 minutes

Getting it in: Flat packed in 1 carton, largest 860mm by 950mm by 160mm.
