Folding and Wall Desks
Desks that stop being desks. Folding wall desks that close to a 100mm-deep panel, fold-down cabinets that hide the mess behind a door, console desks shallow enough to pass as furniture in a living room, and corner desks for the awkward bit of wall.
Two things to settle first. Depth: 400mm is enough for a laptop, 600mm if you use a monitor and want to sit back from it. The wall: folding wall desks carry real load into the wall and are labelled wall fixed — if you rent, get permission in writing, or buy the freestanding folding desk instead.
And leave 800mm behind the desk edge for the chair. A desk you can't push back from is a shelf.
