Loft and Attic Rooms
A sloping ceiling turns every standard dimension into a question. The wardrobe fits the floor but not the height; the bookcase fits the height but only 400mm from the wall.
Measure twice, and measure in the right place: take the ceiling height at the exact distance from the wall where the back of the piece will stand, and again at its front face. Both numbers matter, and the second one is the one people forget.
Low, deep storage under the slope and tall, narrow storage on the full-height wall is almost always the right split. If nothing standard works — and in a loft it often doesn't — made to measure is genuinely the cheaper answer.
