Solid Oak
European oak, oiled. The warmest thing we sell and the one people keep longest.
Oak is a tree, which is the whole appeal and the whole caveat: grain and colour vary board to board and batch to batch, so two pieces ordered months apart will not be twins. If matching matters, buy them together as a bundle or a package.
It's also the most repairable finish here. A ring mark sands out with the grain and re-oils; a scratch in a lacquered surface does not. Re-oil once a year, or when water stops beading.
