Hall Benches and Shoe Storage
Benches with shoe storage underneath, lift-up seats, and tilt-drawer shoe cabinets that take a pair per compartment in about 180mm of depth.
Tilt drawers are the right answer for a narrow hall: they store shoes almost vertically, so a 600mm cabinet holds what a 400mm-deep cupboard would. Bench-with-storage is the right answer if somebody in the house needs to sit down to put their shoes on — which, sooner or later, is everybody.
